What is a Spelling Bee solver?
A Spelling Bee solver is a tool that finds valid NYT Spelling Bee words, pangrams, and point totals from a center letter and six outer letters. Enter the hive — this page is a local dictionary helper, not the official game.
You type the yellow center letter and the six outer letters. The solver filters a local English dictionary: words shorter than four letters drop out, words missing the center letter drop out, and words that use any letter outside the hive drop out. What remains is a ranked list with Spelling Bee point values.
Everything runs in your browser. Dictionary chunks load once from this site and are searched in your browser. Tool inputs stay in your browser. The site uses aggregate Google Analytics. Use it to unstick a puzzle, hunt pangrams, or check how close you are to Genius without guessing blindly.
How to Use the Spelling Bee Solver
- Enter the center letter: Type the required center letter from the hive. Every valid word must include this letter at least once.
- Enter the six outer letters: Type the six surrounding letters. Order does not matter.
- Find words: Click Find Words or press Enter. Matching words appear with point values; pangrams are marked.
- Review pangrams and totals: Check word count, total points, and pangrams against the in-game ranks (Good, Excellent, Genius).
Who Is This For?
- Daily NYT Spelling Bee players who are one or two words short of Genius and want the remaining legal words instead of giving up.
- Players hunting pangrams who know the hive letters but cannot see the word that uses all seven.
- Teachers and word-game fans who want a complete list from a letter set for classroom word-building, not just the official daily answers.
Key Benefits
- Privacy. Tool inputs stay in the browser.
- Free to use now — no account, no paywall. Ads are not live yet. No “hints left today.”
- No account required — open the page and search immediately.
- Pangrams and official-style scoring — four-letter words score 1, longer words score by length, pangrams get +7 so you can estimate Genius from the total.
Common Use Cases
Closing out Genius: You have most of the hive solved but the progress bar is stuck below Genius. Enter today’s letters, scan the remaining high-point words, and finish the rank without a random six-letter guess.
Finding the pangram: The game tells you a pangram exists. Filter the highlighted pangram row instead of staring at the honeycomb for twenty minutes.
Practice hives: Make up seven letters and generate a full word list to practice spotting prefixes, suffixes, and reused-letter patterns before the next daily puzzle.
